NOVEMBER DECEMBER

Here's our run down of all the Christmas markets and craft fairs happening up and down the county. They make a lovely, festive day out - don't be afraid to do two in one day! You will be supporting small businesses whilst getting your Christmas shopping sorted! Pictured: Shrewsbury's Christmas Fair in the Square will be on December 14th.

NOVEMBER

23rd - Shrewsbury Christmas Fair, St Mary’s Church, Shrewsbury, 10am to 4pm.

The beautiful setting of St Mary's will be filled with festive stalls, the smell of mulled wine and mince pies, and entertainment throughout the day.

23th - 24th - Apley Christmas Market, Apley Farm Shop, 9.30am to 4pm.

Apley has all you need to prepare for Christmas, from holly to hampers, cakes to candles, mince pies to mistletoe, plus local crafts, handmade gifts, and festive tastings.

23rd - Worthen Village Hall Christmas Craft Fayre SY5 9HT,12 noon to 3pm.

Hot and cold light lunches, sandwiches and soup, a variety of cakes, and tea and coffee will also be available and the entrance fee is 50p. All proceeds will go towards the village hall and there’s even table service for refreshments!

30th - Made on the Borders: Homemade Christmas Festival, British Ironwork Centre SY11 4JH from 9am.

There will be stalls from anyone who grows, stitches, knits, carves, welds, brews, or simply makes lovely stuff! Entry to the event is £5 per adult and includes access to all the centre’s facilities. They also have a Christmas Grotto Experience open on the 30th

DECEMBER

1st - Joy of Christmas Fair, Shrewsbury School Quod from 11am to 4pm in aid of Shrewsbury Foodbank Plus.

There will be a selection of independent and artisanal stalls, live music, hot food and cakes and 'Tuk Tuk' rides. Plus a special visit by Father Christmas. All proceeds will go to Foodbank Plus, Shrewsbury. Admission is £5 to include a mince pie and mulled wine (admission free for children).

1st - Condover Christmas Fair at Condover Hall, 10.30am to 3.30pm.

A wonderful selection of stall holders with gorgeous products, food vendors with delicious offerings, and live music from the excellent Got2sing choir.

5th - The Oteley Estate Winter Fair, Ellesmere, from 3pm to 8pm.

The original stable yard will be transformed in to a festive market. Local businesses will be selling a mixture of gifts, homeware, food, and drink. Christmas lights, music and carol singers will set the scene and The Shropshire Distillery will be running a bar, plus there will be mulled wine and boozy hot chocolate.

6th - 8th - Christmas Market, Love Plants at Salop Leisure

A free Christmas market with Christmas trees for sale, Severn Hospice cards, wreath making and around 30 stalls selling handmade crafts, Christmas gifts, decorations and more. The market will be open from 10am to 7pm on December 6th and 7th and 10am to 4pm on December 8th. Parking is free.

6th - 8th - St Leonard’s Church Christmas Craft Fair, Bridgnorth.

Open on December 6th from 3pm to 8pm, December 7th & 8th from 10am to 4pm. Enjoy some lovely handmade craft stalls and lots of refreshments.

7th & 8th - Shrewsbury Winter Wonderland, Shrewsbury Prison, 10am to 5pm.

Enjoy a festive market, live entertainment, seasonal treats and family-friendly activities, all set within the historic Shrewsbury Prison. Entry is £10 for adults and £5 for children.

7th - Shrewsbury Vegan Christmas Market, Shrewsbury URC, Coleham Head, 10am to 4pm

A Vegan Christmas Market plus a free Santa experience, free wreath making workshop and crafts, and a clothes, shoes and book swap. Free entry, or a £2 cash donation will include warm Christmas drink and limited goodie bag.

7th - Much Wenlock Christmas Fayre, 10am to 5pm.

150 stalls in the town centre, entertainment throughout the day and an atmospheric, candlelit procession down the High Street, with traditional carol singing. Free entry too!

14th - Christmas Fair in the Square, from Made in Shropshire, Shrewsbury, 9am to 5pm. Pictured at the top.

From handcrafted woodwork to beautiful glassware, art, bags and clothing, ceramic gifts and natural skincare to award winning alcohol, meat and chutneys to freshly baked cakes, bread and scones as well as hot and cold food to eat on the go, there is so much to enjoy at this market! Enjoy getting great recommendations straight from the makers, bakers, artists and craftspeople.

14th - Christmas Fair & Santa Disco at The Hive, Belmont, 10am - 4pm.

The Hive has a festive extravaganza where you can shop for gifts, have fun with their festive crafts, and boogie at the Santa Disco. There are two session: 10am-1pm or 1-4pm. Child tickets are £10 and include a Santa photo and adult tickets are £5.

14th - Shrewsbury Abbey Christmas Fair, 10am - 2pm

Expect stalls, music, food, refreshments, a bouncy castle and Santa!

15th - SFYFC & RABI Illuminated Tractor Run & Craft Fair, from Bowmen Way, Battlefield, from 4.30pm, tractors depart 6pm.

As well as a tractor spectacular, there will be a Christmas Craft Fair and a Santa's Grotto. Visit Santa for £6 and receive a small gift. Raising money for SFYFC, RABI and the County Chairman’s chosen charities - The Cavalier Centre and Severn Hospice.

20th & 21st - Shrewsbury Christmas Market, The Square, 9am to 5pm.

Shrewsbury's town centre comes alive with the sight and smells of 58 fantastic stalls of food, drinks and crafts to fill your Christmas hampers and tables. Warm up with street food from around the world - come with an appetite and fill your boots!
