June welcomed the summer with movies from different genres, which, along with some of May's biggest hits, can be enjoyed in theaters right now. 2023 was a big year for cinema after a couple of tough years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with massive box-office successes like Barbie and Oppenheimer, and critically acclaimed stories like Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon. 2024 also has various highly-anticipated movies coming up, of which some can be currently enjoyed in theaters.

June brought some of the most exciting movies of the year, such as the fourth Bad Boys movie, the horror movie Watchers, Pixar's Inside Out 2, the drama movie The Bikeriders, and the action comedy Thelma. This week, accompanying these and some of May's most popular releases, are Yorgos Lanthimos' latest movie, a prequel to A Quiet Place, a Western by Kevin Costner, a drama movie starring Dakota Johnson, and a psychological drama about a cult.
