Though the high school basketball season concludes, there are plenty of notable underclassmen prospects who deserve recognition for their production. Prep Hoops will provide various editions of true stock risers from the 2025-2028 classes. Let’s get into a list of “Next Up” risers.

Quinton Wilson Jr | CG | 2028 | Victory Christian

VCA and head coach Steve Fitzgerald is establishing a pipeline of elite players coming out of the Polk area and this kid will add to a developing list of rising stars. Wilson is only a 2028 prospect but could be the most exciting to watch in the area. He’s made some noise this summer period while showing off his high upside to onlookers at local tournament events. He got some action at the varsity level but will look to lead VCA back to the state championship game early.

Tate Darner Tate Darner 6'0" | SG Santa Fe Catholic | 2025 State FL | G | 2025 | Santa Fe | @TateDarner_

This kid is only getting better and growing more into his frame. One of my top five prospects to watch heading into the new season. Darner can put on a show and do it consistently. I’ve mentioned this now a few times, but Darner is the top sharpshooter in Polk County who has truly found his game in his junior season. I knew of his potential upside but to watch it on display this season has been truly impressive. He’s a lights-out shooter as many know but it’s the slept-on winning spirit and leadership mentality that may not show up on film. Watch out for Darner to continue developing and get the attention of college coaches.

Caleb Sanders Caleb Sanders 6'6" | SF Bell Creek Academy | 2025 State FL | CG | 2026 | North Tampa Christian | @calebsanders_25

Sanders is a 6-foot-7 combo guard who excels with his versatile skill set. He’s recently moved over to North Tampa Christian where he will be an instant producer. His shooting ability makes him a consistent threat from beyond the arc, stretching defenses. He also stands out in rebounding, using his size and athleticism effectively. Additionally, Sanders’ ball-handling skills allow him to navigate defenses and facilitate plays. His combination of size, shooting, and versatility makes him a dynamic and valuable player. He’s picked up a few offers this offseason including the University of California and the University of High Point.

Jah Chin Jah Chin 5'10" | PG Port Charlotte | 2025 FL | PG | 2025 | Charlotte | @chin_jah

Chin is an electric point guard who has since transferred to Charlotte to continue his high school campaign and looks to generate some interest around his recruitment. Check the film, he’s a baller who turns it up on opposing guards and surprises teams with solid defensive effort.

Tre Jackson | CG | 2025 | Winter Haven | @TreJackson03

Jackson has made a move over to Winter Haven to join a solid Blue Devils basketball program. He’s a versatile scoring threat who will be able to run the floor and handle the rock to initiate the offense. He’s an athletic playmaker who stretches the floor with a solid jumper and attacks the paint for tough layups and put-back opportunities. He will now be the focal point of the WH offense this coming season.

Isaiah Medina Isaiah Medina 7'1" | C Gibbs | 2025 State FL | C | 2025 | Gibbs | @saucyboyzay

Talk about a rising 7-1 prospect that can make an impact at the next level. Medina made the move over to Gibbs to play out his junior season and has been the definition of under the radar. He picked up an offer from Georgia Southern but watch the buzz generate around his recruitment as the offseason progresses.

Jordan Attia Jordan Attia 5'11" | PG Charlotte | 2025 FL | PG | Class of 2025 | Charlotte | @J_attia11

Attia is a solid point guard prospect who has developed sharp shooting tendencies over this spring/summer period. He will add to a solid backcourt where he can provide consistent shooting and playmaking ability. He’s made some noise this offseason with a few notable performances in the AAU period.

Toby Lane Toby Lane 5'8" | PG Santa Fe Catholic | 2026 FL | G | 2026 | @TobyLane2026

Lane is a solid and true point guard who plays his roles on the Hawks squad as the heart and engine of this program. He’s a physical guard for his size who can press the opponent’s dribblers. On the offensive side, Lane can score when needed but most importantly limit turnovers.

Jordan Bryant | Wing | 2026 | East Lake | @Jordan_Bryant5

Bryant is a rising 2026 wing prospect who is versatile and has a do-it-all all type of game. Known for his exceptional rebounding and rim protection, Bryant dominates both ends of the floor. His knack for put-back dunks adds an extra dimension to his game, showcasing his athleticism and timing. What’s truly starting to set him apart is his ability to create off the dribble, making him a notable offensive threat. A few solid performances this offseason have him set for a big-time junior season where he can lock in college interest.
